A 19th Century Bradoon & Headpiece - Bit1031 christmas Weight 73g (2½oz)This finely made brown leather headpiece and bit came from the house of a member of the imperial Habsburg family. Its buckles are covered in very finely stitched leather to protect them from rusting. It has a fine steel loose ring bridoon bit. There is light surface rust on the bit, but this could be burnished off. The leather is still supple, there is a finely stitched repair above the main buckle (please see the images) .
